牟健: A Test of Protection Motivation Theory in the Information Security Literature: A Meta-Analytic Structural Equation Modeling Approach

Information security is an important area of information systems research, and protection motive theory (PMT) is its most influential theory. However, empirical findings based on PMT are often inconsistent and inconclusive. To reconcile these inconsistent findings, we conducted a meta-analysis and estimation of 92 published studies using structural equation modeling to investigate the relationships among PMT constructs. We found coping appraisal variables of response efficacy and self-efficacy o have the largest average effects on security behavior.

牟健博士现为韩国釜山大学商学院信息系统副教授。2015年于南非金山大学获得信息系统博士学位。成均馆大学交互科学系博士后，伊利诺伊大学芝加哥分校访问学者。主要科研领域为互联网用户行为，电子商务，电子健康医疗等。Electronic Commerce Researc等SSCI期刊副主编，Information Technology and People高级主编，先后发表SSCI/SCIE论文40余篇。
